Twitter question (technical)
Since we're going wifi-free for interesting I thought I'twitter account for the thing so we can have some digital back channel for those that want it. (Though we're also working on some less digital back channels which might be more fun.)
Anyway, I can see how we can all add interesting as a friend and get updates that way, but how do we do that thing they did at macworld where anyone could precede their tweet with 'macworld' and everyone subscribed would get that? Is that something twitter need to set up or am I just being dense? That's more than possible. I just spent an hour installing new printer drivers when the damn thing just wasn't plugged in.

Cannes. My Blueberry Nights.
So the press has just seen the opening film (also in Competition) at Cannes, Wong Kar-wai's My Blueberry Nights, starring Norah Jones and Jude Law with David Strathairn, Rachel Weisz and Natalie Portman.
"Co-scripted by Wong with crime writer Lawrence Block, Blueberry is essentially a road movie, and therein lies the problem," writes Erika Abeel at Filmmaker. "It couldn't, in its way, be more Hollywood..... That said, Blueberry is, predictably, of a visual mastery and beauty to provokes gasps. The film works best as video-art of the highest order; I wanted to freeze frames, and can't wait to see it again." Also at Filmmaker: Howard Feinstein gets an interview with Wong.
At Twitch, Kurt'll point you to the trailer.
Updated through 5/20.

Ski Area And Mountain Watershed
Historically, people lived in lowlands. Except for logging and some agricultural uses, mountains were mostly left to the birds. But in recent decades, mountain regions in a number of parts of the world-including Vermont-have faced growing development pressures from recreation and tourism uses such as vacation homes and ski areas.
Despite these new uses, most scientific studies of soil and water in high-elevation areas have focused on the effects of traditional resource extraction, like logging. How ski resort developments impact watersheds is little understood.
In the first study to document the effects of existing ski resort development on water flows and water quality in the northeastern US, Beverley Wemple, associate professor of geography at the University of Vermont, and her colleagues, have studied two side-by-side mountain watersheds on the eastern slopes of Mount Mansfield in Vermont. The nearly pristine Ranch Brook watershed served as a control, while the adjacent West Branch watershed contains the Stowe Mountain Resort.
Their results, forthcoming in the print edition of the journal Hydrological Processes (and published online April 24, 2007," show "surprising" differences, Wemple said, between the two watersheds, including greater water volume, chloride (probably from parking lot salt runoff) and sediment (probably from land clearing) flowing out of the developed watershed.........

Free Paris Hilton Campaign Launched By Spencer Pratt
A douche has got to get in the news somehow!!Spencer's using his myspace to try to prevent Parisite for serving time for her reckless behavior.
The reality show douche responsible for hypnotizing Heidi Montag is speaking out on Paris' behalf.
Spencer explains what's goin' down:
"I've always thought that the punishment should fit the crime. Paris has changed her image dramatically over the last couple years. Now she is such a good role model and a smart business woman.
So it's a shame that a miscommunication between her and her people is landing her in jail. She should get probation with community service, but no way should she be put in jail with real criminals."
Spencer's currently attending USC as a political science major. Can someone expel him for this?!
Pic of a Free Paris protest. All 3 fans showed up.

Happiness is the Secret of My Beauty: Barrymore
The Charlies Angel, Drew Barrymore, admitted that she would prefer to go around with a cheerful person who is always in high spirits over a bodily handsome one. Well, thats a good idea to keep yourself away from tensions and always embracing happy-go-lucky mood.
The Hollywood damsel asserts that happiness is one of the best ways to live a healthy life. The beauty has topped US magazine Peoples first 100-strong Most Beautiful list of late and the secret for this achievement also seems to be her cheerful outlook towards life, isnt it?
When asked about the relevance of happiness in life, Barrymore quipped,
In my opinion, cheerfulness helps you look and feel pretty. People with joyful nature look always beautiful. If you spot someone with drop-dead beauty and appeal, its really fun to take a look at the person. But if someone is able to give you a good laugh and thus, make you feel really good from within, then that is a whole other level of beauty. And I guess, such beauty always wins over any physical appearance.

iTues claimed 70% of the digital download market. However the average iTunes user bought 11% fewer songs. iTunes, Napster, and Wal-Mart lost market share, while Yahoo remained even.

In the P2P world Limewire has become the leading site after Kazaa and eDonkey have exited the market due to legal pressure. Limewire claims a 62% market share. The average Limewire user downloaded 309 music files in 2006.

Drew Barrymore, the enchanting actress with an enigmatic presence is No.1 in People Magazines annual list of 100 Most Beautiful People. Although this is the fourth time she is making the list but the first time ever to be featured on magazines cover page. The special issue is to hit the newsstands on Friday.

The actress who posed nude for Playboy in 1995, made her Hollywood debut at the age of 5 when she starred in Altered States (1980). However, essaying the role of ‘Gertie’ in E.T.the Extra-Terrestrial (1982) gave her instant stardom. Being nominated for a Golden Globe in the Best Supporting Actress category for Irreconcilable Differences (1984) was a stupendous achievement, given the fact that she was barely 10.
